Liu Bolin is a Chinese artist whose work has been exhibited in museums around the world. After witnessing the Chinese government destroying an artist village Suo Jia Cun in November 2005, Liu decided to use his art as a means of silent protest. Painting his own body to blend into his surroundings, Liu became famously known as "The Invisible Man". Commenting on the damage caused by urban and economic developments, Liu declares, "my intention was not to disappear in the environment but instead to let the environment take possession of me". To me, he is one of the most extraordinary artists alive today, making strong statements in such a quiet manner is truly inspirational.
These are amazing! And what a powerful story. Love it!
